WHY EVERYONE IS A GENIUS
Intelligence is beyond passing a school test. It’s more than memorising a material and reproducing it in exams.
Some students look down on themselves because of their low grades.
They start to conclude on their future based on their present academic performance.
They allow their school reports to shatter their self esteem and self image.
One thing society fails to realize is that intelligence is multi dimensional.
There are multiple forms of intelligence. Writers and researchers over the years have proposed new concepts of what they call other types of intelligence.
Most notable is Harvard professor Howard Gardner, whose theory of multiple intelligences (linguistic, musical, visual/spatial, and at least five others) has been highly influential.
Daniel Goleman has written best-selling books on what he calls emotional intelligence.
The question the vast majority of people are asking is
*IF ONE IS INTELLIGENT* not *HOW ONE IS INTELLIGENT*.
Albert Einstein once said everyone is a genius but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, It will live it whole life believing it’s stupid. Everyone is intelligent and smart in some way. Our strength differs.
You shouldn’t use your abilities to judge others. Some individuals are very talented at teaching, others are excellent singers.
I don’t think there’s a school for comedy. But it’s evident that our society have many talented comedians.
Everyone is different. Some people are very sound academically but weak socially. You must realize that you have talents and strengths for a particular field.
You can’t do everything but you can do something excellently well.
It’s fine to have average grades. It’s fine if you’re not among the top people in your school. *ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE (THOUGH IMPORTANT) HAS NEVER BEEN A GUARANTEE FOR SUCCESS IN LIFE*.
School does not test all aspects of intelligence. You must understand that you’re intelligent is some way.
You are a master in an area. Discover that area and start walking in the reality.
A great man once said “I never allow my schooling interfere with my education”. Education is beyond the four walls of a class room.
You can learn and educate yourself online. Bill Gates taught himself computer programming. Les brown never had a college training but he improved his communication skills and vocabulary by himself.
Henry Ford never past the 6th grade. Thomas Edison only had 3 months of schooling. Jim Rohn only had one year of college training.
You see! even with limited formal education, these individuals have risen to the top of their fields.
With the advent of the internet, life have become more easier. you can learn virtually anything online.
If you realize you have interest for something. take bold steps to become better at that thing. You can learn online by watching YouTube videos or reading about it.
The bitter truth is that not everyone can graduate with a first class. But I believe everyone can be successful in some area.
We all have the seed of greatness in us. Success in life is more than just having good grades (though they are important).
Success requires more than a good IQ. It involves combination of IQ, EQ (Emotional quotient) and SQ (Social Quotient).
Success involves determination and persistence.
It involves connecting with the right people.
Friends, being an average student is fine as long as you’re putting in your best.
*NEVER EVER LOOK DOWN ON YOUR SELF BECAUSE OF YOUR GRADES*.
You have talents way beyond what school can offer. The world is looking for problem solvers not people with certificate only. Your degree is only but a complement to your natural talents and abilities.
Robert Moore, a professor of Columbia University once said…..
*The man who’s been active on the campus, whose personality is such that he gets along with all kinds of people and who has done an adequate job with his studies has a most edge over the strictly academic student*
